We are back in action with another night revolving around friend of the journey ECKOES! If you haven't seen my prior posts, here they are below:

And now we have a different type of event! Four little events in one.

The first is a talk with our host and also comedian Dane Baptiste who moderates the talk. On top of being an artist, ECKOES is also an educator with great intellectual chops! Her series "Shit I Have A Problem With" (SIHAPW for short) has been posted around IG & TikTok since the pandemic and she saw it fit to host a night talking about the overriding subjects she talks about on those posts.

Up next was one of two musical performances. The first is an artist that I wasn’t aware of before this night but is another great UK R&B talent.

Swiftly after that came Dane Baptiste for his own little stand-up set that was great. Fun fact: First stand-up performance I’ve seen live.

I’m very happy with this night. I try nowadays to give everyone shine through my lens and I think there are bangers for everyone.

I see it as a successful night of good talk, good laughs and good music.

ECKOES only did four cities but I think she could definitely expand this if she wanted to. Was a very intimate event, so much so that the lighting was just on the cusp of being a genuine challenge. But I love spaces like Folklore with heavy colours & shadows. Would definitely hit the space again.
