A couple of weeks after my 25th birthday, my mother one night asked me to look through the family photo albums and get some good photos for some new frames she bought.

What should have been a quick task, went deep into the night as I fished through the stacks of filled up photobooks, some over 40 years old. It was a travel to a time before I was even born for most of it.

It became clear that after a certain time in my youth, the cameras stopped going… The only pictures I have of myself are School photos and whatever is on my Instagram.

I suddenly felt empty, sitting on the floor with photos of my parents the same age as me. I had made no memories for myself. Quickly after that, I began seeking to get my own camera and a few months after, I got one: A Fujifilm X-T30 which I call Gina.

And that's where all this comes in. A place to put my best work, continue to work on a craft I used to love 10 years ago and on a random night, found myself deeply wanting again. I hope you enjoy my journey.
