Masta Ace &

Marco Polo

@ The Jazz Café

Date Taken: 10th November 2025

In what will probably be my last show coverage of the year, this was a dream to check off. To cover one of my favourite Hip-Hop artists of All-Time is one thing, but the way I got this was crazy.

I usually try to go through official channels and get a pass through there but with no response after a while I thought F it and DM the man himself. So I did and not only did he respond, he had a request for a particular moment in the show he wanted attention to. We’ll get to that in a bit but let’s get into the show overall.

From the looks of things, there wasn’t a support act and considering I got there after 8pm and still waited for maybe half an hour, I’m not surprised most people around me were liquored up.

But we got there and we begin with the producer.

Marco

Polo

Producer

This is actually my 2nd time hitting this show at The Jazz Café. Sometime before COVID if I remember correctly, but Marco Polo wasn’t present because his father was ill at the time. It was good to have both here this time.

A big difference between the previous show and this one was the addition of one other person that appeared intermittently throughout the show.

Masta Ace’s wife and artist in her own right: Leschea.

Leschea

Vocalist

And now for one of my Top 5 All-Time.

Masta

Ace

Rapper

I’m really happy to get several shots of him pointing up. It was a dedication to Mister Cee who died last year and was pivotal in Masta Ace’s career. It just so happens that some of those shots of him pointing up are my favourites in this entire set.

Let’s continue on.

To finish, the special moment I talked about in the beginning.

So it just so happened that on the same day as the show was also Ace & Leschea’s wedding anniversary! To celebrate, the promoters behind the show hooked everyone up with cake.

I had to leave before they distributed the cake, but to finish I wanted to drop all the pics that featured the couple and also fulfilling the favour asked by Masta Ace himself and getting pictures of the cake.

I thank Masta Ace personally for the opportunity. If this is my last post of the year then boy is this a way to cap a great year off Photography-wise.

I’ve had a lot of memorable moments this year and many posts where I’m proud of the work I’ve done, this one included.

I’m glad I could cover the night in the only way I know how and I think I did it successfully. I take this confidence into next year with the want to do more, get more posts in and grow as a Photographer.

Thanks for being with me on this journey. It continues on…
