And just like that – after a couple weeks since my Best Of October – we are BACK with my seventh Photo Pass of the year.
For this one, we look at an artist and band that I have already covered before within a bigger story, the story in this case being Cross The Tracks '22 which feels so long ago after having a look back at it…
I covered Seun Kuti & Egypt 80. Funny enough, they're returning to Brockwell Park in 2025 so this might not be the last you'll see of them on this here site.
But for now, I was blessed with a physical pass – which is always wanted – and was only given three songs to cook. After that, the pit had to be empty.
But before that, we have a support act that was a great tone-setter for the evening: Facesoul
With the tone set, it was time for Egypt 80 to come through with a colourful introduction.
And then came Seun Kuti himself and two backing vocalists. If you did the right thing and spun the Cross The Tracks post, then you'll know what's coming next.
Dancing.
If you have made it this far, I have a request.
I’ve kept this post shorter than usual in length. Out of my edited set of 160 photos, I may have only put about half that on here to be a bit more selective of what I put on here and balance things out.
So let me know if you vibe with the tweak or would want to see everything I edit.
I’ll probably only post everything for the big storytelling posts like XTT & Notting Hill; or smaller posts like my Recipe Tests. For shows like this, more restraint.
As for this post, I really liked what I got in a short amount of time. There were four or five other photographers in there with me so good spots became harder as they came in but I really love what I got.
Stay tuned, a minimum of two shows coming right up!
