So about a month ago I hit the subreddit r/Fujifilm to ask for recipes.
Whilst I rate the great work that FujiXWeekly has, I wanted to find some independent recipes from other photographers. One of my defaults in "New America" came from a similar hunt, so I thought I'd give it a ago!
Blessings to u/srbnjpg who gave me a few links to look at. After taking a look at them, I settled on this brown, vintage look recipe from E. Fung Photoblog. I decided to name it "E. Fung Vintage" for brevity and had have been trying it out over the past few weeks.
I came away with just over 60 photos and I'll share them all with you here.
We begin with a couple quick ones that I got from an Easter Sunday celebration my boy D and his family were having:
Next was a couple days out in LDN, one at Barbican and the other around Westminster as I was hitting Tate Britain for the first time:
And lastly – the more chunky end – is my birthday trip to Margate with Pops.
It was my first time in Margate and my Pops' first time in decades. We went mainly for Steve McQueen’s “Resistance” exhibition at the Turner Contemporary but it was over pretty quickly, so I took my camera out and got to shooting.
The first half we walked around to the little land protrusion that cuts into the sea a little.
Once we had a nice Summertime bev next to the water, we walked all the way around to the other side to see the now defunct Dreamland Cinema, which was lovingly used as the backdrop for “Empire Of Light”. Beautiful film, highly recommend.
The next post will also have this recipe featured so expect at least one feature of this recipe outside of the test!
