In what will mist likely be my last post of the year, (RIP my hopes of seeing Digable Planets) I think this is up there in one of my favourite sets of 2024.

You will see for yourself obviously but I think there’s some capital B Bangers on this one. So let’s not waste time and get right in.

We have three acts, the headline being rising star in UK R&B: MORGAN. I’ll talk about her in a bit but we begin with an artist that will now be on my radar: Leah Music who is without a doubt one of the most photogenic acts I’ve had in front of my lens.

Next was one that really caught me off guard.

Picture me, thinking that a music act was about to come on when instead, several objectively good looking Black men came through in differing bomber jackets and buss moves to tunes like Kendrick's "Squabble Up".

This is Dance act Frobacks.

Lastly is the headliner! MORGAN is an artist I’ve only kept up with in the past year and a bit. I heard her through a couple features and was into her skills.

Come to this year and her EP “Emotional Gangster” comes out. (Hence this tour show") It’s a great listen with plenty of fusion throughout the just-over 20 minute runtime.

Also a shoutout to guitarist Beenie who was also part of the band for my first Photo Pass show in IYAMAH! Nice to have a visual throughline from my first Photo Pass ever to my last one of this year.

And with that, my 2024 in Photography is pretty much wrapped up!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a year creatively where I’ve made such big strides from the beginning of the year to the end.

For 2025, I want to start building a true series. The Recipe Tests were fun but I’m kind of set there; I’m talking about a proper series of photos, a long-term project.

I have an idea already, I just want to build up a few sets before I start posting.

If this is my last post on here – and you’ve gotten this far – I hope you have a wonderful holiday period and an excellent New Year.

See you on the other side…
