Recipe Used:
Now that we have nearly caught up with The 50 Pack, it’s time for the Best of March!
I won’t be seeking to do a “best of” post for every month, they’ll be for the times I’ve headed out with my camera, caught some vibes and can bunch them up into something like this.
This combo set comes from shots taken on March 7th, 18th, 23rd and 30th.
Let’s jump in!
(I cannot confirm nor deny that this was actually taken in the morning.)
But regardless, I love doing shots like these as I wait for a train. I used a Velvia recipe that I ended up not liking by the end of the day, but this one made the cut.
Approaching.
Another shot whilst waiting in Moorgate. One of those classic shots that have been done many times before but there’s a reason why its such an archetypal picture: because it bangs.
Distraction
Sure, you could have your eyes drawn immediately towards the beautiful woman… But that means you’ll miss the absolute STEAL of a deal to have a daytrip in Mexico for £15 per person!
Focus up guys!
A quick dip into architecture now as I took a walk around Liverpool Street for a bit. The day was cloudy (Shock, I know) so it felt fitting to do these in Black & White.
Now into Liverpool Street Station as I wait for a friend. The last one is especially pleasing for me as people greet each other with hugs. Really enjoy capturing those moments.
Twins
This took a few shots for me to get down but I eventually got a solid shot of these chill ass dogs lounging in Broadgate, just a stones throw from Liverpool St.
Whilst I was waiting to see a film at Curzon Bloomsbury, this girl was on her phone for most of the time I was walking about, taking pictures. So of course I got a shot of her.
I need to go back to that area in the Summer. I really love the area as a whole and the photos I got didn’t hit the way I wanted.
Black Man In Little China(town)
A little excursion to Chinatown near Leicester Square provided a cool backdrop for me to get this banger shot of D as we were waiting for another friend of the portfolio…
When You Secured The Bread:
Trust me to get the focus just a tad off Ryan’s face, only to have the damn bread in focus.
But I like the softness of the photo so why complain about a happy accident.
The trio of Charlie, Ryan and TT return for the occasion of TT’s short film showing in London!
These photos came after taking a walk to Brixton and then hitting Foyles in Tottenham Court Road.
We Inside.
This is one of my favourites of 2024. Whilst waiting outside a pub near Soho, I saw this woman constantly glancing outside. Once I saw her do it more than one time, it was just up to some good timing.
We finish – fittingly – on the way home for myself with a quick self portrait through the scratched window and capturing this family that hopped on the train with me. I liked their dynamic as a family, the variance in age and the vibes they were on as they chatted.
