A quick story that precedes my 25th Recipe Test.
On the day the majority of the photos that were taken for this test, I actually had a show I woke up poised to go to, there was just one thing that was needed.
I had a contract to sign.
Believe it or not, this was the first time I've ever had to do such a thing. I'm surprised it's taken up until now!
So I gave it a read and at the same time, the homie D called to ask if I was hitting the show or not. I ended up not going. Long story short, the contract was ass. I'll leave it at that.
But when one door closes, another opens. On the other half of the call, D was telling me that he was going to the Seafront with a few of the fam. So I thought "Well I woke up prepared to take photos, might as well go take some photos!"
And luckily – just a few days before – I added this Recipe (Via FujiXWeekly) onto my camera. And here we are, testing out Lomography Color 100. By the settings, I was expecting a significant Blue hue to the photos and boy are some of these Blue! Let's begin with a quick few shots of the dog on my bed.
This is also a continuation of me testing my 75mm, particularly the autofocus.
I’d say for the most part it gets the job done! But you can decide for yourself once you’re at the end of this post!
So we now begin the day out in earnest and like most days out with D, I’m on time and left waiting, so I get to shooting.
After about 30 minutes – finally coming down the hill – was D, Mary and LD.
Mary – ever the photogenic – was ready for the moment.
We then wait for the train for a few minutes and before you know it we’re heading to the Seafront with Mazi & daughter Priya in tow.
I wanted to get decent shots of everyone, Mary was on the same mission for a different reason, but I managed to hook 'em up like I like to do.
Throughout the day I caught pics of people going by, enjoying their day. So I thought I’d bunch them all into one mini-set right here.
Back to the family. This was Damian’s first day on sand and after not trying to eat things, he understood the assignment.
The day was moving pretty fast but we had a late visit by Sam & son Ezekiel who are making their debut on here.
A renewed energy (and donuts, man they were so good) brought the majority back onto the sand with the infants.
Last couple of mementos before we headed off…
To finish. If you know Southend Seafront, you know that there will always be a healthy smattering of unique rides going past.
I’m not as much of a car/bikes guy as I used to be when I was younger but I still appreciate an aesthetically pleasing ride.
I have already replaced this recipe with a new one but I liked the look for the most part! It gave me a bit of static when editing but we got there in the end.
Part 26 coming soon…
