Everyday Astia

Recipes – Part 15

Recipes! Long time no see!

Believe it or not, I’ve been using this recipe for months. I just never collected the right amount of photos that weren’t for another post.

But here we are, with the right amount of photos!

Another FujiXWeekly banger in Everyday Astia is a extremely versatile recipe. Whatever you do when it comes to taking pictures, this will work. And as someone that doesn't really have a style, it's perfect for me personally.

Ironically, this set is probably the most varied I've done so far. We got some portraits, a reigniting of one of my personal loves: Floral Photography and some in-the-moment pics that go super hard.

But we begin with some live music in Rose Windross, who I saw way back in March but only got five photos I liked so kept them for the eventual recipe post:

Shout out to "white jeans" who was hellbent on having a boogie that night. The event was held at a new Jazz club in my local area, near the airport of all places. Such a weird location but it's a nice spot aesthetically.

She also poured everyone some brandy so that was fun!

Next up came the day after seeing Ari Lennox @ Eventim Apollo with my friend Caroline. You may remember her from my 2nd ever post: "24hrs in Birmingham". For this and the rest of the post, it was with my new lens. I really love how it does portraits.

The show was amazing, thanks for asking.

I really adore the dog picture. I use a filter from Urth where in the right situation it can create a light leak effect. It’s a personal favourite.

I also had two more photos of Caroline where she reacts to a train passing but she forbid me from publishing it. I think they’re endearing! But alas.

Next up, my impromptu floral exploration. I remember when I was in GCSE Photography and the majority of my book was flowers. I didn’t really have an idea about crafting a shot back then, I just simply liked how they look. It was nice going back and doing the same thing with a bit more understanding.

Also within this set are some tree/sky photos which I am really enjoying as a motif, a tradesman who wanted a photo of him working and, of course, the dog.

The final two photos were some impromptu shots I took of me & D whilst grabbing some food. (and drink for him) I really enjoy these shots, not just because it’s me and my best friend kicking it, but because I really like the photos, especially the last one.

I feel like there’s an album cover in the last one, but I’m not sure what kind of album it would be. Any suggestions, feel free to let me know!
