Nu Establishment (Tomorrow’s Warriors)

@ Black On The Square

Date Taken: 5th September 2026

Recipes Used:

We are in Trafalgar Square for the first time in a while! The last time I went there with Gina was over four years ago – one of my earliest posts – when some friends were visiting from the states!

This time it's for a purpose, we're visiting for some impromptu coverage of one of the bands playing. I would've loved to have covered the entire event but I had to head back right after the performance to see the nephew on his birthday. (you can see a snippet of that in my Summer Blue post!)

But even though I was covering one performance, I cooked and ended up with a decent amount to the point where I could provide coverage of everyone in the band and give them each some shine.

We begin at the front and will circle around. At the front are:

Camilla George – Alto Saxophone

David Kayode – Tenor Saxophone

Shanise Hall – Trumpet

Christ-Stéphane Boizi – Trombone

And for individual shine, we begin with Camilla George who I have covered before when I covered a great Summer day @ Woolwich Works a couple of years ago…

Camilla

Alto Saxophone

David Kayode

Tenor Saxophone

Shanise Hall

Christ-Stéphane Boizi

We move back behind them and move around counter-clockwise!

Rion-Jensen Brown

Guitar

Chris Simpson

Drums

Luke Bacchus

Keys

Along with Camilla, there was also another special guest who came in for the 2nd half of the performance! An artist I have had on my list to cover for sure…

Zara McFarlane

Vocals

And lastly we end with not only the Band Leader but the founder of Tomorrow’s Warriors as a whole…

Gary Crosby

Bass/Band Leader

And that’s that! It would’ve been cool to cover the other acts during the day including Damage & Ms Banks but maybe another time!

As for Tomorrow’s Warriors, more on them soon…
