The hunt for my own recipe continues with a couple of key tests over the past few months with two big days over the past fortnight.
We begin with… What are those people looking at?
Oh yes! I remember now. I hit the local Seafront to peep one of the yearly firework shows that are hosted!
I’m still not great at doing fireworks in my opinion but you don’t know if you don’t try.
At least the Ferris Wheel looked good! Got a phone wallpaper contender!
But that was just for fun, let’s really see what this recipe brings at night. I took a few shots on the walk back after the fireworks were done I’m also going to add some more random shots I took over the winter months
Shouts to random homegirl posing for an impromptu shot as I was walking.
I still wanted some concrete results for my night time test. Luckily, there was another event at the seafront to hit! It involves cars.
It was at this point I realised that this isn’t a recipe for everything. Which is fine, I just wanted to see what results it would bring.
So lets get back to where this recipe shines: In the day.
Sometimes the numbers tell you all you need to know because I ended with far more taken in one event than everything I got at night during months of trying to do so.
We head back to the Seafront once again for another mass vehicle event. This time, we got bikes.
But first, we got to head to D’s and make our way over.
Something I didn’t add in the photos prior to bike day is that grain. I wanted to make a habit of adding my own grain in post instead of relying on whatever my camera did, be it weak or strong.
I love the grain I’ve got on these. You may not be able to see it clearly but trust me, it makes a difference.
Now lets see some bikes.
Whilst it was cool seeing bikes of different stripes, I was equally interested in the people and the general aesthetic that only the Seafront can provide on a sunny day.
I’m pretty happy with what I have as a recipe! It’s different from the others I have had as staples in my custom recipes. I’ve adjusted the shadows, sharpness & noise reduction settings after all this so I think one more post will wrap things up nicely.
By that time I will hopefully have a name for it!
As a leaving gift, here is a cat beefing another cat.
