Anthony Joseph is a Poet, Novelist, Academic & Musician.

I got into him via the music, most notably, his '21 Album "The Rich Are Only Defeated When Running for Their Lives". If there was an award for titling things, that would win by a country mile.

Although – as he explained – he cannot take credit for the name, as it is actually a line from Trinidadian theorist C.L.R. James, in his book "The Black Jacobins".

The album itself is an epic Jazz odyssey and that translates heavy live. Especially a track like "Kamau".

I learned a hell of a lot through his words and hope to explore his non-music work one day.
