Recipes Used:
Autumn is coming in nicely, the weather has been a consistent 12-18 degrees and for the specific date of the 8th October, it was a good day to spend with friends.
Let me get rid of the one photo I took on the 5th, which I quickly caught whilst recording that day:
Okay, onto the 8th! With me was D, (of course) Connor, who is one of D’s friends from University (We went to see Yasiin Bey as a trio the night before.) and Mary, D’s new girl.
Clearly, from the last couple of posts, I’ve been kind of interested in architecture, which Connor is studying funny enough!
Anyway, after walking from place to place, we head to the main spot for the remainder of the day: The Seafront; during my favourite time of day…
The Seafront is an incredibly photogenic place to be at, especially during golden hour. But the area itself is incredibly throwback, I’m sure if I went digging for archive photos of the area there’d be a lot that hasn’t changed for at minimum 80 years.
But even in my lifetime it’s taken on some changes, especially if you go the other way to more residential areas.
But anyway, as night time crept in, we linked up with D’s family at the local amusement park with some time to kill between then and a fireworks show that was going down a little later.
So, we hit up what is aptly named “Electric Avenue”:
And after trying and failing to find a place to play Pool, we found a spot to watch the fireworks:
Not the most “autumn” day ever aesthetically, but a fun day nevertheless. Maybe I’ll do an all autumn leaves post next, who knows.
